Days five, six, and seven

There was a life delay...

I started classes on Monday - that was fun. Macroeconomics was LOVELY (/sarcasm). I went to the club where I saw friends I haven't seen in a while, danced, chilled, and fell down the stairs. Yes, an hour into my night I fell/tumbled/bounced down half a flight of stairs and landed, head first, on the steel molding and proceeded to bleed like I was DYING. Fortunately, my friend had just (read, that morning) taken her final to finish nursing school and was standing right behind me while I was flying head over heels down the stair. She set down her drink (something she will never live down) and rushed down to me where she discovered the blood gushing out of my head and we went to the bathroom to try to get the bleeding to stop and so she could asses the damage.

It was one of the bouncer's first day and, of course, he was at the bottom of the stairs so he called an ambulance and one of the security managers, who just so happens to be my boyfriend. They shut down most of the bathroom, the downstairs hallway, the stairs, and cleared the way for the paramedics while they were removing me from the building. I got to leave on a stretcher (first time!) and take a hospital ride (first time!) and get a needle shoved into my arm on the LOVELY Michgan roads (Dear Michigan Road Commission, FUCK YOU) which, by the way, they NEVER used. I went to U of M hospital where they were VERY nice, but I'm impatient and by the time I left after a tetanus shot, saline wash, and Bacitracin rubbed onto my wound, it was 4:30 in the morning. So, I wasn't able to post about my day.

More braces related, yesterday, I ate nachos. Granted, they were Taco Bell nachos so the chips were soggy and easily chewed, but they were still nachos! I ate them today, too. TASTY.

The pain in my mouth is slowly fading, but that could be because of the excruciating pain in my head, arm, chest, hip, thigh, and knee.

More updates to come.

  1. Have you stopped posting about your braces experience? I'm thinking of getting Damon braces for my son and it helps to have a first hand account. How are things turning out?

    Have a great day,
